Park Overview
This park, located southwest of Park Falls, consists of the forest and lakefront property surrounding Smith Lake, part of the Flambeau River, with river access to 2 canoe-in campsites (no fee) as well as the park and campground. There is ATV trail access to the Tuscobia State Trail via Omaha Road (approximately 1 mile) and to Park Falls Tuscobia Trailhead County Park (approximately 4 miles). Adjacent to this park are thousands of acres of industrial forest land and the Flambeau River State Forest . This campground can accommodate RVs, trailers, tent trailers, and tents.
Facilities
- 30-unit campground, all with electric hookups- open year-round (please be advised that roads are not plowed during winter months)
- ATV/UTV trail access to the Tuscobia State Trail
- ATV unloading and loading ramp
- Boat landing and boat dock
- Fishing pier
- Hiking trail
- Open air shelter with electricity (to reserve call 715-339-6371 - fee required - $50)
- Paved roads and parking area
- Picnic area, tables and grills
- Playground equipment
- Pressure water (faucet and drinking fountain), mid-April through late-October, weather permitting
- Sand beach
- Shower / flush toilet buildings (open Memorial Day weekend thru the last weekend in September), $.25 for 2 minute shower
- Sites have picnic tables and fire rings
- Vaulted toilets
- Sanitary dump station, open when the water is turned on (mid-April/May through September/late-October) - use fee (quarters are required)
Rules
- Check-out time is 2 p.m., 30-day limit at any one site
- Camping fee required - $30
- Campsites cannot be reserved
- Pet requirements: must be under control or on a leash at all times - not allowed near swimming area or in buildings
