No. While landline phone numbers were initially transferred from the 9-1-1 database directly into CodeRED, if you do not have a land line phone or if you have a VoIP phone, your number was not included in the transfer. You must register with CodeRED to receive community and emergency alerts.Code Red

The Mobile Alert App itself is free; however, if you decide to subscribe to the CodeRED Weather Warning, there is a nominal charge.Code Red

Typically, the CodeRED system will be used to send out community notices such as a sex offender release or address change. CodeRED may also be utilized to warn residents of hazardous situations, such as hazardous materials spill or a water flow warning through a dam. Finally, CodeRED may be utilized to warn residents of a dangerous situation involving law enforcement, such as a barricaded or armed suspect. Unless you subscribe to CodeRED Weather Warning through the Mobile Alert App, typically, you will not receive weather related notifications.Code Red

Yes. You can have notifications sent to multiple numbers such as a home landline, cell phone and work number.Code Red

You will also be able to sign up to receive notifications via e-mail or text message. Again, you will be able to send the notification to multiple e-mail and cell phone accounts.Code Red

Yes. Typically, community notices will only be sent to those who subscribe to the service. Emergency notifications will be sent to everyone whose number is in the database. Remember, if you do not have a landline and your primary phone is a cell phone or VoIP phone, you will need to subscribe to receive emergency notifications as well as your number was not automatically transferred from the 9-1-1 database.Code Red
