As of June 21, 2023, Solberg Lake is approximately 3 inches below the normal summer level due to lack of rainfall. The below normal water level has resulted in a representative from WI DNR contacting Price County Dams to inform of low water levels to the stream below Solberg Dam. Due to the lack of water discharging from the Solberg Dam, Price County has been directed to release a minimum amount of water from Solberg Lake impoundment to the stream below, this directive is being given to sustain aquatic life in the stream. Releasing water from the impoundment will result in water levels lowering at a rapid pace without receiving rain to replenish lake levels.
Recreationists should be aware of obstructions in the lake that may not normally be marked if lake levels continue to drop.
