Culvert pipe must meet the requirements of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction, 2020 Edition. Helical pipe shall have the ends re‐twisted (annular) so a standard band can be used on them. HDPE or plastic pipe shall be corrugated smooth bore. The request for proposals includes standard aluminized pipe and HDPE plastic pipe. The County reserves the right to accept any proposal independent of the other or all proposals together.

Proposals shall be sent to the Price County Highway Department via e‐mail to vance.pollitt@co.price.wi.us or faxed to 715‐339‐2381 Attn: Vance Pollitt before 3:30 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2020. Delivery shall be FOB to the Department’s shop in Phillips, WI unless otherwise indicated. Delivery charges if any shall be included in the price shown on the proposal form.

All proposals must be submitted on the form provided. All writing shall be done in ink. Included in the culvert proposal shall be: the price per lineal foot of pipe; the gauge of the metal; the manufacturer; and the probable delivery date. Timeliness is an essential consideration in determining the successful proposal.

The Price County Highway Department reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and accept the proposal deemed in the best interests of the Highway Department. Quantities shown constitute a base proposal. Price County reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities up to 15% after receipt of proposals.

The successful submitter(s) shall be required to provide the County with a performance guarantee in the amount of 5% of the total proposal price to insure delivery of the materials. The guarantee shall be in the form of certified funds. A bid bond will also be acceptable. Delivery of all pipe shall be made before June 8, 2020. Failure to deliver the pipe within the given time will result in a $25.00 per calendar day penalty as liquidated damages.
