[ARCHIVED] Proposals for Tandem Axle Truck with Plow Options

Sealed proposals will be accepted by the Price County Highway Department up to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the office of the Price County Highway Commissioner, 704 North Lake Avenue, Phillips, WI  54555 for purchase and delivery of one (1) Tandem Axle Truck with Plow Options.

“Minimum Specifications/Questionnaire Proposal Form” is enclosed.  All exceptions to the specifications must be noted in the areas provided.  Base equipment and all option prices must be written in the spaces provided.  Descriptive literature and comprehensive warranty statements shall be included and shall be considered part of the quotation.  More than one proposal may be submitted.  Separate proposal forms shall be used for each model proposed.

These specifications are meant to provide a minimum performance and quality standard acceptable to the County.  The Highway Commissioner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or to accept any proposal which may be most advantageous to Price County.  Most advantageous includes a performance comparison of the equipment with any like or similar type of equipment; a comparison of the manufacturer’s and/or dealer’s ability and reputation to promptly deliver repair parts, service, and/or equipment in the event of an equipment failure. 

Proposal envelopes must be sealed and marked “Tandem Axle Truck with Plow Options” and include the “Minimum Specifications/Questionnaire Proposal Form”.

The successful quoter will be required to deposit a certified check or a performance Bond equal to twenty (20) percent of the net proposal, Payable to Price County to guarantee delivery date and equipment “as proposed” as specified in proposal.  Certified Check or Performance Bond is to be forfeited to Price County Highway Department if delivery date or proposed specifications are not met.
