[ARCHIVED] Wisconsin Highway 182 Bridge Replacement - Public Information Meeting

WIS 182 bridge replacement, detour in Park Falls scheduled to begin next month

Public invited to construction information meeting May 3

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is conducting a construction information meeting to discuss this year’s replacement of the WIS 182 bridge over the North Fork of the Flambeau River, located in Park Falls.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, 5pm to 6:30 p.m. at the Park Falls City Hall at 400 Fourth Avenue South, Park Falls. Local officials, property owners, and other interested parties are encouraged to attend. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (711).

Pheifer Brothers Construction is the prime contractor for the $2.8 million project. Work is currently expected to begin as early as mid-May. In addition to the bridge replacement, work includes resurfacing WIS 182 between WIS 13 and Saunders Avenue.

When work begins crews will close the bridge and detour through traffic via WIS 13, WIS 70, and WIS 47. Construction is scheduled for completion in late October.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.

The project will be paid for with a combination of federal, state and local funds.
