WI VINE Details

    • The WI VINE service provides release and custody status information about offenders in county jails. There is also a live operator available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who can offer you further assistance if you need it.
    • WI VINE is anonymous. The offender will not know you are registering.
    • Since WI VINE calls automatically when an offender is released or their custody status changes, it is possible that you may get a call from WI VINE in the middle of the night.
    • Do not register a phone number that rings to a switchboard (hotels, etc). Please consider registering a cell phone if this is the case.
    • You can register more than one phone number with WI VINE. You will receive notification calls at all of the phone numbers you registered. Please remember that you will need to enter your PIN from each phone number you registered to stop the calls to that number.
    • If your registration information changes, you must call WI VINE at 1-888-944-8463. Follow the prompts to update your telephone number(s). If you need to update your email address, press zero to speak with a VINE operator.

WI-VINE only applies to offenders who are under the custody of the sheriff/county jail. It does not include offenders under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Victims who would like to receive information about offenders sentenced to the Department of Corrections must enroll separately for a notification service called VOICE. Victims should contact the victim/witness coordinator within their local DA's office at 715-339-3095 or by Email for further information about enrolling with VOICE.
